Day Out With Sister + Mini Haul

Hi guys! It's been a while since I did a post like this.

Today me and my sister went to the op shop to donate a heap of our old clothes, and we decided to have a look to see what we could find. I found some really nice clothes and a bag! So here is my mini haul!!

First this is my coord for the day~

Don't mind my baby hairs... I have no idea what to do about them T_T

Dress: DaTuRa (I bought it off Kati from Dentelle Noir)
Shoes: K-Mart (Australia)
Outer: Liz Lisa (I bought it off HoneyBloodxx)
Bag: Strandbags (Australia)

The first thing I got was this cardigan. It had a price tag still attached for $50 and I got it for.....

.... $8!!!!

It's so cute!! It's a low v-neck one, and there are sequins which sparkle in rainbow colours when you move with the light (It didn't pick up in the photo though..)

I got this cute sweater, with pastel bits of different coloured balls sewn in throughout it. It also has rainbow sequins too!

This large top (which I am wearing as a dress) and the lace-decal smokey rose coloured bag. These were both only $6 each! I really liked this top because it made me think of Cecil Mcbee!

After that we went and had lunch, and come home!

Thanks for reading~! xx

A Picture with Fifteen Facts ~Gyaru Blogging Meme~

I know this isn't the most beautiful photo of me, but this is the real me. And I love that little marshmellow next to me.

1. I am a mother.
Some of you might know that already, but for those of you that don't, I have a beautiful 17 month old daughter named Yuuna (優波) and she is everything to me. Sometimes I get sick of motherhood, but when she smiles at me or calls out for me, I snap out of it and realise that I would never give this up for the world.

2. I still want to move back to Japan.
When me and Shun decided to move to Australia, he said to me it would be good to go back for a year and see if I still want to go to Japan. It's almost 3 years later and a day hasn't passed that I didn't want to go back.

3. I actually went to Japan because I wanted to become an Idol.
Okay, I'm a bit embarrassed about this one. I used to do my own fandubs of anime songs and I was so into it. I didn't think I was the best singer in the world, but it was my dream. And I wish I pursued it a bit more instead of procrastinating the whole time I was in Japan.

4. I'm half Italian.
My dad's parents are both Italian and were born in Italy. My dad was born in Australia and his first language was actually Italian. He taught me a little when I was younger, but ended up stopping so I never fully grasped it.

5. I've been to 3 different high schools.
The first one was before we moved. The second one I left after a year because I was being bullied really badly. The third and last one is where I have all of my memories, and I'll never forget my friends from that time!

6. I'm studying Early Childhood Education and Care.
This means I can work at a daycare or preschool. I am about to start my Diploma this Monday and that will go for another year. I have already completed my Cert 111, but the Diploma will give me more power in the field, and it has better pay. Eventually, I am thinking I would like to get a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and become a Primary School Teacher, and I would LOVE to teach Kindergarten!

7. I am a Jack of all trades, and a master of none.
I have a lot of hobbies, drawing, singing, craft, making videos, fashion, makeup.... but I never pursue anything fully because I get bored. So I'll move onto the next hobby... and because I do that I can never get REALLY good at anything, just better than average good. It's a blessing and a curse, because I can pick things up fairly quickly, but I'll never be amazing at anything.

8. I am a Libran, and a Libran through and through!
I am so indecisive, and hate confrontation. I would rather sit there and eat the wrong meal than bring it up. And if you ask me to make a choice, you better be willing to wait all day because I can't! I also am normally the peacemaker, and the person everyone confides in.

9. I like shopping... maybe a little too much.
I find myself shopping a bit more than I should. I would never spend more than I have, and will NEVER get a credit card, but I know I could save so much more money, but it just burns a hole in my pocket!

10. I'd love more friends from the gyaru community.
Infact, I don't really have any. Please don't feel afraid to comment or leave me a link to your blog, I'd love some friends who share in this interest!

11. I love spicy food.
Yes, the hotter the better. I do have my limits, but they are pretty high above the norm. I never really cared for spicy food until I got pregnant, now I need spice if there should be. And tabasco has become my best friend!

12. I also really love cooking.
I love finding new recipies, cooking them through and trying them. The next time round, I always put my own spin on it. I love finding new food combinations and cooking for my family!

13. I am a vegetarian.
I was vegan for 2 years, but since going back to Japan last year, I've gone back to being a vegetarian. I still feel guilty, and know that veganism is the best diet. But... cheese!!!

14. I used to have really bad depression.
I went and saw therapists, was on medication, the whole shebang!! But I got over it by myself and have never looked back. I still get sad sometimes but I can deal with it so much better now, and I love myself and am starting to feel more confident within myself.

15. I lived in Japan for 1 year.
I went to two different language schools, and have a few videos about how I got to do that. I am also going to make some videos about each school to give you guys an idea on what they were like!

I hope you enjoyed reading this, and be sure to comment so I can meet you guys!

Thanks,
ViVi

Gyaru Blogging Meme! ~ When did you start dressing gyaru? ~

Hey guys! Even though I've been on holidays for almost 2 weeks now, I haven't done any blog posts. D: Sorry!

I thought I might do the gyaru blogging meme to fill in between other posts. I've got another haul video coming up soon, and there will be a post to go with it, so stay tuned for that!

The first question in the meme is, 'when did you start dressing gyaru?'.

I'm going to start with when I first began to be into 'fashion'. I was into the whole, thrift store style. I also live in a beachy area, so the boho look is really popular here. So I used to dress a lot in that style, and I was also coming out of my 'emo' phase too. During this time, I was also interested in Japanese fashion, but more of the stuff you'd see in Harajuku than gyaru.
The grunge, oh how it lingered
Boho/Thrift store kinda look

I also had another side to me, where I liked to dress up a fair bit and be quite girly, I like to think of this as my pre-gyaru phase.

The first time I ever wore anything gyaru, was my trip to Japan in 2010. I went to Liz Lisa and got this dress. Now, I know that gyaru is more than just putting on a dress, but that is the first time I ever even came into contact with anything gyaru!
How embarrassing~
After living in Japan for a while, and the fact that my school was in Shibuya, I saw a lot of gyaru girls walking around and fell in love with the style. I started to dress more and more 'gyaru'ish.
This is the first week of me living in Japan. It's more gyaru than the last time I wore that dress, haha.

Then I exploded in my gyaru-ness. I was wearing false lashes daily, I just couldn't get enough of it. My make up improved a lot, but my fashion still wasn't 100% gyaru.

Now, most of the stuff I buy is gyaru, I rarely buy from Australian stores... I don't wear false lashes too often anymore, unless I'm going out on a date.  I also started wearing circle lenses on the odd occasion too, and when I go to Japan I want to buy more so I can wear them more often without feeling like I'm going to waste them.

Yep, it's that dress again!

So I started out fairly hime-gyaru, and now I still do that but I am also delving into onee-gyaru. I'm liking the contrast between the two styles, and it's nice to be able to switch things up every now and again.

I wish I knew people in the local area who were into gyaru, or any Japanese fashion sub-culture for that matter, because I always feel so judged when I am out and about. I live in a town where people wear jeans, thongs or board shorts no matter where they go... PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE AN AUSTRALIAN GYARU~~

That's about it for my fashion journey. I hope you found this interesting, and you should let me know about your history in the comments!!! :)

See you next time~

If I can find the time, I'll try and do a talk-through tutorial on this blog post later, but for now I'll just leave you with the video!

Self Introduction

So I think that this post should probably have gone first, but better late then never! I've also been a bit sick lately so sorry this post is a little late...

Me! 私です!

Hi! My name is Vincenza, but on the internet (or in Japan) I prefer to go by ViVi, because it's easier  (>w< ) I'm 21 and I currently live in Australia. My partner is Japanese, and his name is Shun. We met in Australia, but lived in Japan when we were over there (I'll talk about that a bit later in the post, and I might even do a post about how I met him if anyone is interested). I also have a beautiful 1 year old daughter named Yuuna, which means 'gentle wave'.

When I started high school, the school that I was at had Japanese as a compulsory subject for years 7 and 8. And boy, am I glad it did. (I can do another post about how I got into my Japanese study history, or why I got interested in Japan at a later point, but I want to keep this post short and sweet for now). I ended up moving towns when I was 15, and sadly that school did not offer Japanese. I changed schools again after that. A year later I was in my senior year, and I ended up choosing Japanese as a subject.

It was during my second last year of high school, that my family went to Japan. I was so excited! I had always wanted to go, and had honestly wanted to do an exchange program during high school. We went for two weeks and visited Tokyo and Kyoto, and did heaps of tours and I just fell in love with Japan that much more!

(I have way more pictures if anyone wants to see posts of that trip)

When I finished school, I took a year off to just find myself. All my friends moved away to the city, and I was behind and honestly didn't do much. It was at this time I decided I needed a change in my life, and after consoling with my family, I decided I was going to do a years worth of study in Japan at a language school. (I can make a post about how I did this too if anyone is interested ;D)

So it was set, and I was to go to Japan. A month before I left, I met my partner. Then I was off to Japan. I lived in Sangenjaya, which is a part of Tokyo, and I attended a language school in Shibuya, called 'Shibuya Gaigo Gakuin' . I absolutely loved this school and would highly recommend it. February of the next year, my partner came back to Japan and we decided to live together. We stayed in Tokyo for another 4 months, then decided we would move to his hometown, Shizuoka. I went to a different language school for the next 6 months, 'Shizuoka Nihongo Kyouiku Center'.

My graduation from the school in Shibuya 卒業(T_T)

During that time, I got pregnant with Yuuna. We decided it would be best for me to come home to Australia and have her, because I would feel more comfortable and have more support from my family/the government.

When Yuuna was born

We went back to Japan last year in October to show Shun's family Yuuna, and we are going back this year at the same time for the same reason. We want to take her back every year so they can spend some time with her, and I also want her to see what Japanese life is like. One day when she gets a bit older, I'd like us to move back to Japan for a while. But with visas and what not, it's going to be a bit tricky. Oh well, we'll figure something out!

Traveling to another country with a 6 month old @_@ 日本に一時帰国した時

Now I'm up to today. I am currently studying to become an Early Childhood Educator. I only have 6 weeks of my course to go. From there, I am going to decide if I want to start working, or go on to study the Diploma for another year.

During my time in Japan, I also really got into Gyaru fashion. And that's where this blog comes in. I also have a youtube channel, which I started to share with everyone my time in Japan, but now the channel has expanded into little weekly updates of Yuuna, fashion hauls and make up tutorials. I finally have more time to keep making videos, so please subscribe so you don't miss out on any new videos!

Recent Purchases + Shibuya 109 Webshop

So I've sold a few things on my Storenvy lately, and I decided I'd use the money to Purchase a few things. I also thought this would be a good idea to talk about the Shibuya 109 e-store because I've never used it before, and also talk about a few new brands I discovered. (You probably already know about them... orz)

1. DaTuRa Shibuya 109 e-shop blanccloset

Sold out, so no link. Sorry guys.

I also bought this ages ago, and it finally arrived. It looked HUGE but once I tried it on it fit nice and snug.

If there are two things I love, it's pink and floral. And DaTuRa just does it for me haha

Here

This is the one I showed in my wishlist. I did end up getting it, and I am so excited to wear it this winter with my new jumper/sweater thing.

Here

I already have this in camel, and I've wanted it in black for a while so I thought I might as well grab it. I still can't tie it very well though, so I'll have to keep practising.

2. me jane    Shibuya 109 e-shop lilimpark

me jane is a brand I had never heard about until I was browsing through the sales on the 109 webstore. I really like the style, it's like a mix of DaTuRa and one way, in my opinion. The items are not expensive, and not cheap. Like a fine medium. I love the floral prints and their shirts. They all seemed to sell out really fast, then when I did a bit more searching I realised that it was a brand under MA*RS.

I've never really been that into MA*RS, but I'm actually starting to like a few of their items, I really want this dress from their new collection!

Here

Anyway, back to my purchases. I got 3 things from me jane through the Shibuya 109 e-Shop.

Here

This is the reason I made the order. I've been wanting a hot pink skirt for ages! I was actually going to buy all of this on the lilimpark store, but it sold out in pink T_T

The thing is, the things on their website are cheaper (only by a few dollars, though), so if possible I wanted to buy them from there. But alas, because it sold out I quickly headed over to the Shibuya 109 e-store and THANK GOD it was there! So I decided to do my whole order on there.

Here

I also got this, I think it'll be good to go with everything. They also had it in white but I think black is sexier. This was actually not even listed on the lilimpark store!

Here

And this beautiful dress. Isn't that print at the bottom to DIE for? So gorgeous. I don't own anything like this dress so I'm really excited. I couldn't decide between orange or blue, but I decided to go for something different and get the blue!

3. Sneep Dip Shibuya 109 e-store

I also got a pink jumper type thing from this brand, because it was only 1080 yen. But it was the last one, and I didn't think to save the image so I don't have it T_T

I actually didn't know of this brand, and I didn't look at their page again until today when I was searching for the photo. But their clothes are REALLY CUTE! It's like a cheaper version of me jane or DaTuRa!

I didn't buy these things, but I thought I might share some pictures of some cute things I wouldn't mind buying (But not until my wallet can recover lol)

 Here

If you couldn't tell, I also have a soft spot for lace and peplums!

 Here

This is VERY similar to the tops I shared that were from one way in my Winter/Autumn wishlist

 Here

Okay, I don't want this. But I was just surprised when I saw it, because it's almost exactly the same as the dress I got from DaTuRa. It's oviously a lot more cheap looking than the DaTuRa on, but if you don't have the money to buy the DaTuRa one, I think this one is cute too. They have it in purple as well.

Here

I think this skirt is beautiful. The colours are amazing and I love how it's like watercolour.

So, I am going to say that the Shibuya 109 e-store is really easy to nagivate and use. I like how you can even search by price! I normally try and buy clothes from the main website of whatever brand it is, (eg. my Liz Lisa purchases are all from TokyoKawaiiLife). But when that site is sold out of something, there is a chance you can still get it on the Shibuya 109 e-store, so I highly recommend giving it a check out! For people who have never been to Japan, but are going to go and want to shop, it's also a cool chance to see what kind of things they have, and if you don't have much time you can look at what's on each floor and make a plan of which stores you want to visit.

ANYWAY, I think this post has gone for long enough. I might do a post about my favourite brands in the future, but for now I'll leave it at this! I won't be buying any more clothes until I can sell a bit more. Most of the stuff on my storenvy is new with tags and I have a LOT of Liz Lisa on there, so check it out!

Thanks for reading and see you next time~
